Cultural Collaboration
Dan Repaport, an 80-year-old Israeli sculptor, presented over 130 sculptures in a grand hall located in the heart of Old Jaffa. The exhibition, held for two weeks, ended just before the outbreak of the October 7th war in Israel. Our team was tasked with telling Dan’s unique story and finding creative ways to generate successful PR and sales with limited budgets. Through strategic partnerships, we organized an impactful opening event, sold artwork, and secured deals for future exhibitions.
summary
The main challenge was attracting an audience, as most of Dan's following is spread internationally, and he was less known locally in Israel. We established collaborations with digital and youth-oriented magazines, creating organic exposure for the exhibition. In partnership with the Tel Aviv Municipality and cultural centers, we broadened the reach and celebrated Dan’s work in meaningful ways, ensuring his art was shared with the right audience despite the challenges.
challenge
The primary difficulty was building local awareness and driving attendance, as Dan’s international reputation had not yet reached many in Israel. With a limited budget and a short timeline, we needed creative solutions to amplify visibility and attract visitors.
solutions
We leveraged strategic collaborations with young, digital-focused media outlets and cultural institutions, including the Tel Aviv Municipality. To enhance visibility and recognition, we created all branding for the exhibition's PR, including promotional materials, visuals, and event design. This enabled us to generate organic exposure, engage new audiences, and boost Dan’s recognition within Israel. Our efforts resulted in a successful exhibition with art sales and future exhibition agreements, despite the constraints.
